Google Talk - Better than AIM, MSN, or...SKYPE?!?!
Production of my podcast has been taking a lot of time, but the next 2 episodes are already in production! I am editing number 2, and 3 is in the start-up process. I will have number 2 up sometime this week, and 3 next week I hope. But anyway, Google has finally launched an instant messaging client that will not only compete with MSN Messenger, AIM, and Trillian, but also Skype and Gizmo! Google Talk is a really cool program from Google, but it is still in Beta. I only have one contact at the moment, since you can only talk to people with Gmail accounts who are on Google Talk. It worked great! It is pretty bare-bones though. I like how it is just chatting and talking, but with not a ton of options, it will keep some away. I went into a one way voice conversation, and I was the talker, but from what I gather, there wasn't much lag and my quality was really good. I will use this a lot whenever they fully implement talk with other clients and non-Gmail, like talking to AIM and MSN Messenger at once! If you want to add me, then add darthvader91@gmail.com and I will talk to you!
