PlayStation 3 not to have Hardrive!!!

The PlayStation 3's showing at E3 was awesome! The games looked amazing, even a racing game in there was cool, and the only fun racing games I like are Mario Kart and Burnout! The graphics were just amazing (even though they were pre-rendered :S), and the CPU having all that power was great. PS2 has had some trouble in the online realm, since it doesn't have a full fledged service like Xbox Live, and you had to buy a Hardrive to download new maps and content. Well, the PS3 is rumored not to have a built in HDD! If you ask me, it's crazy! They need the Hardrive to compete with Microsoft, and even Nintendo for that matter! They said that you might be able to buy an external hardrive for the device, but let's look at how that worked for the PS2! Can't they learn what they need to succeed!?! The Xbox 360 will LOSE $75 with each console bought, but they will get that back with games, and their Xbox Live service. The Xbox Live Marketplace will be money in the bank, because even I like to, after I play a game, build a new map or mod one, customize my character to be ME and nobody having the same character as mine. I think Sony isn't thinking straight, and even if it means a cheaper console (it is speculated at around $400-500) most people will have to buy that HDD...
