Google Music - More reality than rumor?

Check out this article from gadgetophile.com:

"Dave Winer just posted a totally unsubstantiated rumour that Google is going to pull out an iTunes-style music store, complete with RSS. He claims:

I’ve been hearing rumors that Google is readying an iTunes-clone, based on RSS 2.0, and fully podcast-capable. Multiple sources on this one.

Winer is a reasonably connected guy, so perhaps there’s a little more guts behind this rumour than most? I guess the RSS feed will be for new tracks. E.g. subscribe to new tracks by genre or artist, so you know when new releases are available to buy? The big question is will Google go pay-per-song (a-la iTunes), or subscription (a-la Yahoo)? I can’t see Google wanting to get into the whole DRM side of the subscription model (e.g. songs expire if you stop subscribing), so I’m hoping they’ll pull a fast one and undercut iTunes on a per-song pricepoint. Or better yet, a per-megabyte model like AllofMP3.com (but more legal)."

Interesting. I do not doubt for one second Google will do this. Google is going to become a name that isn't just associated with searching anymore, they seem to be branching off into every direction! (Rumored phone, music service, Operating Sytstem, web browser, and the new Google Maps, just to name a few!)

GameStop - Ripping off poor Nintendo Fan-boys...

Can GameStop be any more greedy? I think that this should be ILLEGAL!!! Now, before I get all mad and focus on the negative points of GameStop, I want you to know, that is the ONLY place I will buy games. In our city, the people there are nicer, not to say the people at EB Games aren't, it's just that the GameStop employees seem more geeky, they know about Star Wars and video games, and I think they have a better selection of games. None of this will matter, since GameStop is buying EB Games, but just so you all don't think I am bias towards EB or against GameStop, because I'm not. Back to my rant. Online at gamestop.com, you can get a pre-order for The Legend of Zelda: Revolution. A Zelda game for the new Nintendo system, it is selling for $59.99. I highly doubt that a new Zelda game will be out on the date for it, spring of 2006, or that the Zelda game for GameCube will be ported. I also doubt the subtitle would be Revolution. Gamestop, why are you doing this to fans of the series? Taking their money for a game that might never be released! Should legal action be taken against you? I hope not, yet I hope so. Just give them their money back, heck, even in GameStop store credit, they will take it...

If you are reading this, do not buy the pre-order....just DON"T!!!

Super Mario Pac - Just add water

I play a lot of free online games. With my computer only being able to play games like Counter Strike and other older shooters at 60 Frames Per Second, I have become to like a lot of them. I have played "N" and Notebook Ninja, I was a fan of Runescape, and have been on Miniclip.com more times than I can count. So when I heard about Super Mario Pac, I was sceptical. It was kind of a nice idea, using Mario's FLUDD Device from Super Mario Sunshine, and using it for Mario to spray the enemies. How would he aim? That was my biggest reason for not playing. Yeah, a bad one I know, but there were other good things out there! Then I saw it on Attack of the Show. If they showed it, it must be an ok game. I played it, and man was it addicting. It is simple, but not really a traditional Mario game. If you have some time on your hands, download this. If not, maybe you can play it for 5 minutes, but only if you really HATE it! Download the game at Hermit Games.

Kevin Pereira's Site....Just go there

Kevin Pereira has his site back up! I never went to his original, mostly because I didn't know about it until it was down! I looked at his blog the other day, and it is pretty funny! Some cool links, and a podcast that he is making. The podcast is an Attack of the Show wrap-up of sorts, and it pretty interesting. I think that if you watch Attack of the Show, or if you just want some funny and tech/game related content, go check out Kevin Pereira's Site. You will be glad you did....I'm serious this time!

Online Comics...Funny...Funny...

The past few weeks I have been reading some online comic strips. The two I am most interested in are Ctrl+Alt+Del and Penny Arcade. I have been with the online web shows, like Home Star Runner and Red Vs. Blue, some of the funniest shows I have ever seen. I stumbled upon a Ctrl+Alt+Del link on some forums, and have read through over a year of the archives. FUNNY STUFF! Penny Arcade was linked on the Ctrl+Alt+Del site, so I thought, why not check it out. They are blogs on the home page, which are actually good, but search for the comics link on the page. I highly recommend them both, they will keep you occupied for a while, if you are in to it. Go to Penny Arcade and Ctrl+Alt+Del!

Splinter Cell - First Impression

I rented Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory last night. Yeah, I'm kind of late since it has been out for a little while, but I am playing it anyway. I have only played the first two games via demos. I liked them, but it wasn't really my kind of game. Now, for some odd reason, I just wanted to play it. I was in the stealthy mindset. As I started the game, listened to the breifing, got on the sand, and killed my first two enemies, I thought "Wow. This is way better than Metal Gear Solid..." I went through and knocked out guys, whistled to make them fall into my trap, threw objects to make their attention go to another area, cut through tents to get right behind an unsuspecting victim, disabled lights to get through completely un-noticed. I felt like a modern ninja. I still haven't played any multi-player, versus or co-op, but I hope to get some in. These are just my first thoughts after opening the box. Does this game deserve a 9.9, as Xbox Magazine states? I will see when I get a full review out to ya after I finish it.

Fun with Toys!!!

Everyone likes Lego's. Maybe you don't now, but you did as a kid. Lego's are fun, colorful, and bring out the imagination within us. That's why I loved Reasonably Clever. It is a site with some Flash games, and other Lego stuff, designed to have fun. You can make yourself in a Lego, make a Darth Vader Lego hold a rose, even put your friends in Lego form with a Viking hat and PDA!!! Another game lets you make a Lego head of yourself or friends. This is fun, and a time waster at...home! Don't play games at work, that's just not right! Put your cool Lego dudes in the comments section, because I want to see them! Oh yeah, click the randomizer, you find some cool ones!

Collection of Free Stuff...

I found a nice collection of freeware applications that theoretically, all you need is the Operating System and these programs will do what you need, but for free! I downloaded a few of them, and a lot of them I already had! They used things like GIMPshop and Thunderbird, which are both really good apps. Go check it out and look through the list. I guarantee you will like at least one. Find it at Xtort.net.

Destroy the Internet...

Have you ever wanted to just destroy a website that you for some reason or another? Put UFO's and Nuclear Warheads down onto it? Or maybe you love it so much you want to put flowers all over it! This site can help you do exactly what you want to to any website on the internet! Burn down your friends site for making fun of you, whatever! Go to Net Disaster.com and have fun... Muhuhahahaha

Darth Vader Needs Money...

This is a funny picture. Look at it. Are you laughing? If not, you are weird. No offense to anyone who is mad that I said they were weird
though....I better just be quiet...

It is done then...

I have found my domain name. I am not telling yet, it will be a surprise! I like surprises! I am in the process of getting it, with some slight technicalities, but I am sure to have it done soon. Once I have the new site up, this one will change names. At launch, the site will be this site. I am trying to make it different than a Blogger site, yet I still want to use their blogging system for news. There will probably not be as many posts this week, but I might be able to get some in. Of course it is still in progress, but once the site is up, you will know!
