Physics are Fun!

Physics....fun. I will play with any fun physics engine for hours. I was one to knock off the rocks in Beaver Creek before everyone else in Halo 2. I am the kind that will watch someone use the gravity gun in Half-Life 2 and be in awe. This game is so simple, yet so complex. There is a person. You click and throw the person where you want them too, and they go there. There are balls, and the persons bounces around them. Fun. Play it.

Next-Gen PlayStation Losing Money

Some news has been leaked that is...well, not that shocking. The PlayStation 3 is set to retail at $399. It will take $494 to build one. They will be losing a LOT of money by doing this, which they are going to make up by software. How much money does Sony get per game sold? I am sure it can't be a huge amount unless it is a first-party title. Xbox 360 will also experience a loss, but not that much, and the unit is supposed to go for a lower selling point ($300 normal, $360 with extra stuff?) Nintendo has been reported recently that the Revolution will be below the others prices. A $250 console? $200? I wouldn't be surprised for a $300 start up cost for it also.

Lightning Hit's Playstation...

And this, kids, is why you don't play Grand Theft Auto III on a PlayStation 2...you play San Andreas on an Xbox!

"Some may say the violent gameplay of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto III is shocking. David Robinson, a 14-year-old boy from New Hampshire, knows better than most. While playing the game in the basement of his home during an electrical storm, lightning passed through his television and shocked Robinson through his PlayStation 2 controller. "I was worried my PlayStation was broken," Robinson told NH newspaper Foster's Daily Democrat. Remarkably, Robinson was not seriously injured. The controller, however, was fried." From Gamespot.com

The New Domain

Alright, I am finally in the last process to getting my domain name. I am getting it from ONEsite or Catalog, depending on how you look at it. Since I am a student I get it for free, I just have to prove to them that I am a student. It has taken a while, which is mostly my fault! Once I get my domain, the name of this site will change, If I can't use the HTML in these pages on the domain, then I will get a redirecting service to bring it back here. I am going to try getting a banner, and changing the layout a little bit. Once it happens, everything will take place slowly, but eventually I want to have my website branch off into "blog", "how-to", and other things like that. But right now, you have this technology blog.

Acronym Creator

More boredom busters! Pick a word, or any combination of letters, and make some words from them. Go to this site and have fun making funny phrases.

Sonic the Hedgehog - Flash

Sonic the Hedgehog. The game that got me gaming. You made a little blue animal run around and killed the enemies, sped as fast as you could so you could battle the fun bosses. This game captures the adrenaline from the games in a free flash game. Of course it takes a lot of CPU process power so it can have some slow-down when you are going at top speeds, but it is still fun. Try it out here.

Windows Error Messages

Do you own a Windows machine, know someone with a Windows machine, or have ever looked at a Windows machine, you know that you get little error boxes, a lot. Some are normal, yet some are just plain funny, like "A system call that should never fail, has failed." This site has a ton of made up error messages, like "Found Infected File: Microsoft Windows" or "Keyboard not detected, press any key to continue" Check out this site for the rest of the error messages, and you can even make your own! Send the links to your own in the comments!

iPhone - Coming Soon?

I guess we are getting more and more proof of an iPhone from Apple. Today, in the some of the code for iTunes 4.9, a person found the words Motorola, and phone. I guess that we will have the phone before iTunes version 5 or 4.9.1 or whatever it will be. Of course, we don't know when the next version of iTunes will come out. I think that is just there in case it comes out, because there are lots of problems in the podcasting already (has to be on, doesn't support bittorrent) There also is some more proof. The picture below it off an icon (it is a lot smaller, of course) that could be used on the iTunes interface. There is also some proof (I can't read it, it's in a different language) that it will come with 555 mb of memory included. Doesn't seem like a lot compared to an iPod, but I am sure they will allow memory card to be used. These are all just rumors right now, but you never know (or do you). Go to
Hard Mac for more details.

Raiden X - No It's Not Mortal Kombat

I have been addicted to many Newgrounds games in the past, but never as much as this one. It was featured on Attack of the Show, and I am so glad they did. Called Raiden X, it is a remake of the original Raiden IIS, by the same person. It is a scrolling shooter, but what makes it different are the weapons. Normal bullets, a laser beams that goes to your enemies, torpedoes the size of your ship, and the that change for each weapon you have. It is very detailed, but once you get into the big weapons, you probably won't die. If you do happen to die, then you lose all your power-ups, which results in a restart for me. Try it out at New Grounds.

Make John Knoll A Character

Star Wars.com has recently started a contest, that will allow any Hyperspace user at their site to send a backstory that could be put into the Star Wars continuity. This is every person who writes Star Wars fan-fictions dream. It's every Star Wars fan's dream! I haven't submitted one yet, but I am sure I will. At the moment, they have the character played by John Knolls up now, you get to name him and say why he was there. They will find the greatest entry, and make it into the databank on their site. If you are a Hyperspace member, go enter one, and say you heard it from me!

Red Vs. Blue Season 3

Red Vs. Blue Season 3 has finally been finished! It is up for pre-orders at their site. They are selling it for $20.00, but if you are a sponsor you can get it for less. It comes with over 3 hours of content, which is around an hour more than the two previous discs. If you are a fan of Halo, a fan of video games, a fan of funny, if you know what funny means, get this movie! These are very funny, and you don't have to be a fan of Halo to like it! So go pre-order it and watch it July 6th, on it's release!

Another Way to Get Free Music

A mindful man has discovered how to get free music!!! This one is for the hundreds of people who feel guilty using programs like Bittorrent and LimeWire because they have been dubbed "illegal" but still want to get free music that is "legal". The article shows how to capture music from the music videos on iTunes and turn them into MP3, AAC, Apple Lossless, or AIFF files. This article has the full tutorial for the Mac, but he has a link that does the same thing for Windows. Of course since it is ripped from the videos, it has worse sound quality, is sometimes shorter or edited, and it doesn't have all the iTunes songs.

More Freebies!

Everyone likes free stuff. If you don't...I don't know, you just don't, but you’re not like most people! I go to Slick Deals and Deal Taker daily. Now, we have another site to add to the list of cool freebie sites. Just Free Stuff has a TON of free items that you can get. It doesn’t just stop at items either, you can get programs or sign up for contests free too! Go check it out and see what you can get.

iTunes 4.9 Out!

Big news today! iTunes 4.9 has been publically released! It came so fast! I was going to be happy for an early July release, this is just awesome! For those of you who don't know, the major feature that has been implemented into this release is the podcasting feature. You can subscriben to and download your favorite podcasts directly from the music store. I haven't been able to play with the features yet, since I can't connect to the Music Store. I think it is because of mass overload of people trying to get their podcasts. It took me over an hour to download the 21 mb file since there were so many people getting it at the same time. If you don't have iTunes 4.9, or iTunes at all, download it here.

Tom Fulp on Attack of the Show

I'm posting this one before Attack of the Show today. Tom Fulp from New Ground.com will be host for AOTS until Thursday."I will be co-hosting Attack of the Show on G4TV from July 5th-8th! That's right... Four episodes! I'm just a guest host for the week and then I'm on my way to San Diego to finish Comic-con preparations. Talk about a busy month! July always seems chaotic. I hope everyone tunes in to watch Attack of the Show! I'm nervous as all heck!"I'm gonna watch!

UPDATE: I was wrong, I can't read calenders very well. I thought he would be host tonight, not next week! He's hosting next week though, watch then.

Bringing It To Ya LIVE!

Chris Pirillo. I never knew of him until me and a teacher talked about how the old TechTV was. I talked of The Screen Savers when it was 1 hour 30 minutes, and Leo Laporte and Patrcik Norton. Then he mentioned Chris Pirillo. He said he was really cool. I had never heard of him!!! So I searched his name and found his blog and all that. On todays TWiTcast, number 11, he is in it, talking about his LIVE podcast. It is every Thursday, and I am going to check it out this week!! Go to his site for more details, and past podcasts. While your there, find where you can pay him $20 for an ad on his chest. And yes, I'm serioius.

Castle Inifinity - Sleeper Done Slumbering

Castle Infinity is back up. From what I gather, it is an MMORPG of sorts that was pretty much . A group of players ressurected it and made it free online for download, so they can get some groups to do some big quests. I tried downloading this, but it wouldn't work, maybe you guys will have better luck. It has been Slashdotted for about a week, but the server is finally back up now. It is completely free, so play it...now! Find it at Castle Inifinity.Org.

Cheap Games!!!

Apparently, Circuit City is gonna have this HUGE sale on July 3. There is a real big list of games that are $10 each, and some of them can get an additional $5 off! Ridge Racer DS for $5! It didn't get the best reviews, but come on! $5!!! MTV Music Generator looks like a free computer app, but would be an addiciting computer app! Go check out the full list (it will take a minute to skim) at this site.

P.S. Tried hosting my picture through Blogger, doesn't work though :( HTML is cool anyway!

A New Favicon

I just got a favicon on my site! After tons of work, it is there! The favicon is the little picture beside the address and by the name in your favorites. It used to be a "B" for the Blogger symbol, but now I have a CD/CD-ROM/DVD/HD-DVD....just a disc. Once I get my URL (You can not believe the pain it is causing me to get it) it will change, but for now, I like this. The reason I couldn't get it up, was because I couldn't find a site to host a .ico file as a picture. I used one from another site, and it looks about the same as the one I tried to upload. This is another step towards getting my site to be....my site! I used this website as a tutorial,Chami.com. Great help, and some various favicons already made.
